Cousins the gentlemen?

God, I'm about to get on the box again, but surely the punishment for Cousins should be "sacked from captaincy" and not resigned. Why should he be allowed that privilege when he has clearly betrayed the trust of many parents who expect him to be a role model.

Don't get me wrong I certainly have not been a good boy my whole life but when it counts I have been the man I'm expected to be. I expect, when you put yourself up on the podium, as Cousins has done, then it is your responsibility to carry that honour/burden through.

OK, he ****ed up, but how many times makes it acceptable...........now stepping off the soapbox.

You possibly don't get paid $250k + to be a good boy either TEF?
They get the big money, not just because they are talented footballers but, because they are marketable commodities to sponsors and they can get spectators through the gate as well.
I'm really dissapointed FOR Ben that after five years at the top, with the state at his feet, he would still allow himself to get in this position.
This is the type of thing you would expect from a first year rookie, not the most senior player in the state! Especially with his track record and knowing that any little screw up will get blown out of all proportion in the media because of that history.
If nothing else it has certainly taken the focus of Fava and the Force drinking policies!!!

The money is not the point, however little you get paid, it's the honour and integrity that counts......couldn't find the wink thing but take it as input.
