AJ Commits to Force

Todays West Australian in the Super Rugby liftout, it has been revealed that AJ has signed a 1 year deal with the Force with a further 12 month option.

Mm do reckon he's waiting for a Wallabies contract? It might be a reason for only signing for a year. If he's not getting a look in for a Wallabies spot over west he might try his luck elsewhere to try and capture Deans' eye. Having said that I can't imagine he'd do any better at any other club. Perhaps the Force only offered him a year?

Considering the cult status he has over here I don't see him leaving.....I can see in the future alot of young players doing one or two year contracts in the hope of a large Wallaby top up down the track...I mean, wasn't Cam Shepherd one of the worst paid backs in the Force last season...when he basically set the team alight week after week.

Am I reading too much into it that they mention the 'four' props twice?- AJ, Pek, Troy and Keiran- there's a notable omission there.
The first instance was about the 'young' props, so that kinda makes sense (but includes Takari, who's 30 this year) but the second mention was just about "the four props at the WA club".

AJ came into the store today and I completely forgot to congratulate him on resigning!! I feel like a prize goose.

But on the plus side we had a lovely chat about his mum and about my trip to Queensland next week and he referred to the singlet top I was wearing as 'Beaut'.

It was a nice 5 minutes.

Oh and chatted to Horua this morning about conception and popular months for babies to be born.

I need to learn when to stop talking...
