Tom Hockings is studying Mechanical Engineering at Queensland University - he has a cross institutional enrolment in UWA.

Hockings is the only forward to have started in all seven matches in 2008 to date.

i think hockings has been as impressive as bam bams first year, hockings has got a very good work rate and doesnt shy away from the dirty work at the breakdown, will only get better.....scored a great 2nd rowers try aganst highlanders, looking forward to hocko showing up vickerman

Great work by the young lad in his debut season. He's got stronger & stronger as the season has gone on....he's very efficient clearing out the ruck & is now looking more confident in the loose as well as taking some pressure off Sharpie in the lineout.

That's one of the aspects of his game I'm enjoying - he is looking out for Sharpie more and more - and doing some of the hard tackles for him - our midfield is definitely stronger for his presence
