    Elsom out of Tahs clash with Blues

    April 04, 2008 NEW South Wales have suffered a major blow with star flanker Rocky Elsom ruled out of Saturday night's crucial Super 14 match against the Blues with a leg injury.

    Elsom has torn a quad muscle in his left leg and faces up to six weeks on the sidelines.

    His withdrawal has forced coach Ewen McKenzie to move lock Dean Mumm to the back row, with Will Caldwell coming into the second row for the Waratahs' must-win encounter at the Sydney Football Stadium.

    I feel bad- I was joking about getting the Blues to 'break' Rocky before next week. I guess I'm shopping for a new back rower for the fantasy team.

    Poor Elsom. He and John Eales were my first ever favourite Wallabies when i was 5.. well i dont think rocky was a wallaby back then. but he was the only one who i knew
