    PS2 Rugby '06

    http://www.psxextreme.com/scripts/ne...asp?newID=3623

Electronic Arts announced today that Rugby 06 has shipped and is now available in stores. The game is available on the PS2 and Xbox with an MSRP of $29.99.

Rugby 06 features Super 14, Six Nations, Guinness Premiership championships, a new off-load passing system, quick line-outs and penalties, a host of new set plays, and more responsive gameplay. The presentation has also been improved with better stadium models, 3D field textures, and atmosphere effects, such as visible player breath.

Sounds like an improvement on '04? 8)
It will be interesing to see the Force stats and how they programmed the 44 players who debut in round 1.

    hey got the game yesterday!
Force are not too bad in the game! no scott stainforth in the team though which is dissapointing
it is much better than 04 but not much diff from 05 apart from the choice of quick lineouts, penatlies and the 'hand off' when being tackled

i got the game last night, i was pretty impressed, i like the new options to hand off in a tackle, quick tap and lineout. I was a bit disapointed in the lack of subiaco as a choice of stadium as well as a few force players being left out (due to late signings, players hadn't been finalised while game was being produced).
    my 2cents.

the games ok i have it on xbox. lacks realism and a bit buggy. i think alot more effort goes into their FIFA games than lil old rugby. 30bux is a good price tho (assuming thats not USD) not that i bought it.

I dont see why the whole late signing issue is a problem. Just transfer Spanner from the London Irish squad and put him in the Force. I now have up to date lists including Gits and Mitchell! The only problem with this is Staniforth can't play in the centres, only on the wing. This is a major annoyance of this game too, in realy rugby most backs can play everywhere (or at least centres can play as wingers and vice-versa and fly-halfs can play as centres). Whenever you put players in the wrong spot, their skill doesnt decrease like it would in real-life they just knock-on/fumble 3 out of every 4 received passes — how is this realistic?!? Moving positions doesnt all of a sudden turn you into a retard who has forgotten even the most basic of rugby skills! Anyway apart from that and the ease of linebreaks and ruck turn-overs from even the most minor isolations (because your backs refuse to get involved in rucks) the game is enjoyable albeit frustrating. Bring on 07!

Don't care, half a Rodzilla is still better than Baxter and Dunning.
