I hate posting these types of messages, but here you go...

Unfortunately, due to an AFL fixture clash, 6PR will only be providing score updates on Friday night.

It's a disappointing result and despite my loud and continuous protests, the decision will not be changing. Money talks and the AFL broadcasts are a big money spinner for the station. (I've managed to get the station bosses to consider crossing to the rugby if there is a blowout in the AFL. If the result is pretty much guaranteed by 3/4 time in the AFL we should be sweet to pick up the force game before half time. Fingers crossed the game in Brisbane is completely one sided and a very ordinary spectacle.)

Regardless, you can still go in the draw to win a seat for you and a mate in the commentary box for the final home game against the Brumbies. You'll get a tour of the Media Area, see where Greg Clark, Phil Kearns and Greg Martin do their thing, and maybe even get a couple of the famous sandwiches. It's a great view and should be a great game. HOW TO ENTER: A question relating to the Force v Stormers game will be posted on the link on the TWF home page. Just follow that, answer the question and you'll go in the draw.

I was pretty disappointed last weekend when they (6PR) went ahead with its AFL Sports show rather than have the live Force telecast. Fortunately I was convinced at the Force shop (thanks Jess) that JB's would be an ideal location to watch the game..brood in toe. A Force win, a pint of mid-strength beer and a complimentary bowl of hot chips for the young ones (thanks to the management) later and we were all smiles.

You and me both (disappointed that is.) You fish where the fish are and unfortunately AFL is where the sponsors are and where the majority of listeners are.

6PR is supportive of the rugby and wouldn't hesitate to broadcast it in any other circumstance.

Where at all possible, we should be accumulating money against the future. The good times are rolling at the moment, but nothing is forever. I would never rule out a complete screwing over by the ARU, SANZAR or NewsCorp, and it would be nice to have some money to help safeguard the future of Rugby in this state.

I like the idea of a signal that the rugby is on. Not sure how to do it, but I like it.
