Judicial hearings – Ma’a Nonu and Jerry Collins

Hurricanes players Ma’a Nonu and Jerry Collins will appear before a SANZAR Judicial Officer after being cited for separate incidents in last night’s Rebel Sport Super 14 match between the Hurricanes and Highlanders at Carisbrook, Dunedin.

Nonu was cited by Citing Commissioner Mike O’Leary for Law 10.4 (e) a dangerous tackle on Highlanders player Clint Newland in the 55th minute of the match.

Collins was cited for Law 10.4 (a) punching or striking as well as Law 10.4 (k) acts contrary to good sportsmanship following a tackle on Highlanders player David Hall in the 67th minute of the match.

The players will appear before Judicial Officer Bruce Squire QC at the New Zealand Rugby Union offices in Wellington on Monday 10 March. Nonu’s hearing is at 4pm with Collins’ hearing due to start at approximately 5.30pm.
