    Player stats wk1

Have a look at the player stats vs the Sharks
It gives you an idea on who had a good game or not....have a look at Fava's meters gained....impressive

Where'd you get that tdevil? Jesus I must be sad but I like that shit.

If you total the columns then you get:

    Sharks Force
    Tack 91 65
    Offload 5 9
    Kicks 43 33
    Try Assist 1 1
    Line Brk 2 3
    Ruck/Maul 54 73
    Mtrs 301 740
    Runs 57 90
    T/Over 22 27
    Missed Tack 21 7

With stats like that you'd assume the Force would have won the game.

I sat 52hours analysing the game, then I had to calculate meters gained by means of scale and then.........blah blah blah

No, I found a website with the stats for games and players - people with lots of time to do this, but I love it too.

There I was almost believing you tdevil.....haha

They need to update the table to show free kicks as well as pens, as that has a big impact on the game now. Also would like to see a stat on unforced errors. I think that is an area where we let ourselves down badly in.

It's interesting when you start to compare the different games....I may try to set something up to see what the trends are like when comparing the stats of different games against the results. OMG I'm a geek

Doesn't it seem the Force stuff it all the time 5 meters out from scoring. Wasn't it two trys they missed last week. Not to mention the last 2 seasons

Can you find any stats to confirm that? (or hopefully prove that statement completely wrong)

I think you are quite right there. The ability to stay calm when you get close to the line and the Finishing off is one of the hardest things to perfect. It only gets better with time and confidence.

I totally agree, and it bugs the sh*t out of me when i watch promising build-ups get squandered at the final hurdle, i woke up my house-guests yelling at the telly last weekend...This is one area we really need to capitalise in rather than botch...

Settle guys....they were a young team, in a humid environment without their captain...They had ZERO lineout ball in the first half and they still had plenty of chances.....Given the issues they had to overcome, I'd say the young fellas were the shiznit!

It's all cool, and we'll do significantly better than the Reds did tonight!

Plenty of chances exactly, we need to make sure we utilise these chances is what i am saying...Sure they did play well and could have pulled off a win until the final seconds, i am not doubting thier ticker at all, just need to work on thier finishing is all...And lineouts with no sharpie, jeezarse...

Round two is up.........Have a bloody look at Drew's numbers 15 runs and 2 kicks from fullback.....He's gotta be under orders!

Browny also had a great set of numbers (despite being virtually invisible to me) he'd get my quiet achiever award. along with most of our pack who won a bunch of rucks and mauls!

Only issue (and it's similar to week one) we're not finishing the movements just yet, It has shades of early 2007 over it at the moment, and we need to work the kinks out a lot quicker than last year...the press won't be kind forever!

The biggest improvement was the lineout. Blame the skipper being back

The finishing will improve with a bit more familiarity particularly among the young forwards. Mitch is not known for back tracking on his strategies so the rotation will probably continue and going on his record it will pay divvies in the back half of the campaign.

Round 2, 5 points to the good. It's onwward and upward peoples. Can't wait for the 'Saders match. Get back that home win we were chiseled out of. I only watched 30mins but they must have played awesome in the second half this morning.
