    6PR official media partner

Due to a love of rugby within the station and anticipating the huge interest in the game radio station 6PR (882 on the AM dial) has jumped on as official sponsors of the Force ... they are broadcasting all the games having done a deal with South African and New Zealand radio stations ... at home the commentary team will be WA player Mick Colliss, Adrian Barich and either Force players Rudi Vedelago or John Welborn depending on selection/injury ... this Friday night John Connolly will be part of the broadcast which starts from 6pm.

Looks like you have some opposition as 90.5 are doing all the games.

Leon Ruri is calling them and he has a good following.
I know he did our local games and some others as well I think- maybe Super 12's.
he gets excited and gives a good aaccount of the matches he has done.

The only thing that I like more than being able to listen to EVERY Force game on the radio, is having a choice of who I to listen to

I'm gonna give them both a run on Friday - might include this suggestion in the TWF mailout tonight, I'd be interested in hearing what people think of both commentary teams based on their performance Friday night... Nothing like a bit o' healthy competition to keep people on their toes

    Good call Coach.
I agree with brokendown gunfighter, Leon is worthy of top mantle.
Looking forward to listening to his call and watching the game while soaking up the atmosphere.

Leon is more than worthy, he has carried the game in this state and has a great Saturday morning show.

Sad we can't get his call down the net or that 6PR doesn't fire up the talkback !!

great to be involved last night, if you listened to the broadcast would love your feedback/suggestions ... and yes, mike colliss will be doing the Reds game ... all other away games will be on relay ... as for the Reds I played one second grade game and one first grade trial match, otherwise it was North Beach - a terrific club.

I had a listen to 6PR and SportFM and think both crews did a prety good job of it.

My father-in-law who is a seasoned 6PR listener also tuned into the game and said he thought the commentary team occaisionally forgot that their audience may not necessarily be watching the game - he's blind, pushing 80 and a newcomer to Rugby so its up to you how you take the criticism, although he does always listen to 6PR's aussie rules broadcasts without complaint.

hey barra.....if you have any influence with someone at channel 9.....will you please tell them that the graphic they put up when they talk about the force has a Steeden ball.....thats a mungo ball...

    Rugby uses the Summit ball.....
