    well dont quote me on it, the thing is i think the QLD Govt would find it hard to justify a $25million grant aimed at helping only rugby union. If they in turn said it was a Sporting Institute that was open to the Broncos and QLD Maroons as well then it would definetly change the dynamics of it.

    You will never get majority support in QLD without including league Jono! It's just the way of the world up there.......bit like AFL in WA, but not quite as bad, because League seems to be pretty good at developing players for the Waratahs. The only state in OZ that could afford to go it alone is NSW and that's only because they have the ARU in their back pocket! League = big money in the Eastern States!
