Well, this is it! The time when Henjak finally gets his chance to step up. Henjak and "The Force" will be under a lot more pressure than Gregan and the Brumbies. For Gregan and co. it's business as usual.

I hope Henjak can keep his head and show the selectors that father time has caught up to some of the older brigade. A mixture of passing, running and kicking at the right moment will give Henjak a superior edge over a tiring and slowing George Gregan.

    Cheers, Eel.

I was actually thinking a tad more legal than that Sage, don't let any of those rumours start with me!!!
Fitter has played 15 S12 matches, I don't think he was ever an automatic start however was picked a few times to run on due to other abscences.
He has had a bit of a dodgy time of it with injury I believe and I seem to recall that there was some mention that he is actually still on some kind of arrangement seeing out a Brumbies contract over here, "on loan" if you like, back when he was drafted to the Force last year.
Was man of the match in the NSW's club final with Uni and potentialy will start with that same combination if Hardy and Cannon start on Friday.

Hehe, I only go there if I think it might get a laugh. I know it's only alleged.

I'm sure before Eddie Jones was given the sack Connolly was asked on his opinion and he went with the experience of Gregan and backed EJ up?

I may be wrong of course, and his opinion may change....!

The front row of Hardy-Cannon-Fitter was by far the best that I saw in the NSWs games on TV last year.
There's a reasonable level of experience and size there as well:
    1. Gareth Hardy, 17 S12, 112kg
    2. Brendan Cannon, 40 Tests, 88 S12, 108kg
    3. David Fitter, 2 Tests, 15 S12, 119kg.
Not huge, but pretty effective with a couple of "old heads" in Canno and Fits when you add in their club careers.
That said there is apparently plenty of pressure on for Angus Scott (21 S12, 114kg) to start and even a good argument for a bench spot for David Te Moana (124kg) after his note worthy trial matches. A great incentive for those who get the first start to play well!
For the first match I doubt that Tai McIsaac will displace Cannon but expect a strong showing from the bench.
All are fairly traditional front row players so extra will be expected of the back row in open play to cover.
It's great in hindsight but it would have been a coup to have picked up Polota-Nau to get a bit more speed around the park by one of the front rowers. I would think he would be a starting rake with us, especially if without Cannon.
