From my contacts back home, he actually performed very well in the games played and was looked at by NZ S14 teams as a backup halfback.

I'm with Seldom on this one- from what I gathered he was the number 2 scrumhalf of a much improving side. It's not a shame to be second (or even third) behind a scrum-half who is as good/experienced as Cowan even if can be a touch inconsistent form-wise. We don't need someone who is great, we have Henjak for that, we need someone who is competant and reliable.

we can only hope he has the goods.Some of the other halfbacks selected by Mitchell in the past couple of seasons havent made the grade & subsequently been released
