Watch it again. There was maybe one breakdown where the tackler contested for the ball. All the rest the defenders stood off, there wasn't a single counter-ruck, and the ball was simply recycled unopposed....and they have the gall to accuse the SH of trying to turn the game into League!

Not risking a penalty thats what it is. Last season was the start of the whole "going off your feet" debarcle up there. Nigel Owens is very strict on the ruck.

Its muddy, you don't get that here, it's wet (very wet) and probably had been for the full 80 minutes. It's still pissing down with rain in the clip. All you could do is try and stop the drive, imagine how heavy your legs would be the next day playing in that?

Its not uncommon for wingers to be taken off with hypothermia playing up there. Hot cups of tea used to be the go in the changerooms after a match.

Dry down here, different style of rugby that's all.

I know and have experienced all the reasons, but it doesn't change the basic point - that was far more like league than anything the SH version of the ELVs with the sanctions law ever produced.
