Wellington 53-12 Taranaki

Wellington had little issue in putting away a Naki outfit that had very few answers to the running Lions backs. This game was neither in doubt from the opening minutes, and Wellington look to have hit their straps at the right end of the season.

Tasman 14-21 Canterbury

The Crushers got the shock of their lives with Tasman aka the Makos aka Canterbury B going into this one boots and all believing they could cause a major upset. Tasman almost pulled it off, but Canterbury remained composed enough to take the points.

Auckland 32-21 Otago

Otago finally produced the rugby fans have waited all year for, well those down south at least. Auckland managed the win but not without some serious questions being asked.

Southland 30-11 Manawatu

Southland left it to the second half to put the Poo away, teehehe. Good effort by Manawatu here, but the Stags to strong at home.

Hawke's Bay 30-26 Waikato

A sold out Maclean Park went nuts as the Magpie guys managed a four try to three victory, and in the process looking to have locked in a home quarter final in a couple of weeks time.

Waikato scored after 40 seconds from a Bay mistake, then Danny Lee organised the troops for some seek and score missions. Absolutely brilliant display from the Bay backs, with the fowards putting the bodies on the line.

This is a huge upset win and confirms Hawke's Bay's place in the ANZC.
