I went home from the match and watched the match again off the IQ. I have to say I have never heard the crowd roar as much for any game as I did last night.
The 'Tards may have had an extra player on the field but the Force had an extra 20,000 in the stands.

And you completely missed the point of the post M15, i don't know how you came up with that reply, you must be distracted by that kiddie porn in your other tab.
The 1st deleted post above was your 3rd post of the evening where you STARTED the insult slinging. You then continued to post 30 more which pretty much said the same thing.

I'm happy to undelete both if you want - but it's probably more effort than it's worth.

You've been around for a while now Jazza and should know by now that difference of opinion etc are fine - it's just when people bang on about something that it gets annoying enough for my comrades or I to do something about it.

No need to appoligise, but just chill out a bit more next time before you put your TWF posting pants on ....

The main problem was the tahs cheating if anything, especially a masterclass from Phill Waugh in the last 5 mins, that is Richie McCaw standard rucking.
No the ref was calling the rules fine last night.

The only issue is he wasn't calling consistently for both teams.

Point in fact, was in the second half Sharpie got called for not rolling away, when in actual fact he did, but the ref only gave him like a second to do so. Plus it is difficult to get out of the way when two attackers are all over you.

Unfortunately near the end of the game, second last penalty, Phil didn't roll away at all and didn't get called; somehow their was holding the ball!! There wasn't a tah in that ruck that legally could try and get the ball!

I am one to hit the refs, but i agree the calls were mostly correct but not consistent!

I really think that has been the problem this year with most refs!

Something does need to be done about the inconsistency!!!

Sharpie was lazy in that ruck, he was all over the ball and didn't roll away. He was then squashed by the attackers and decided he'd just stick his arms out.

He actually got that one right.

But Sharpie tries his heart out every week and for that I praise him.

That said WRF, the ball was at the base of the Ruck for the Tahs as the whistle was blown so he couldn't have been blocking proceedings too much. I think if the Ref was on the other side of the Ruck he wouldn't have actually called that one, but that is part of Rugby.
The ones I'm (and I imagine most are) shitty about are the ones up near our try line in the last five minutes.

Probably not. I read somewhere that he's considered a rising young ref-type star.

    Bring Back the Rucking!!!!!

    I have the solution!!!

If the rules were amended to bring back rucking of the player lying on the wrong side of a ruck then maybe we wouldn't have this issue anymore.

Unfortunately people will say that it was removed to protect the defender, and could get abused by some players.

I remember the good old days of playing rugby with rucking. If you were in the wrong spot you found out about it, and then got the hell out of there!

Again we get to the dilemma of the officials not being consistent and some legal rucking might be called stompping!

Oh my I think my head is about to explode, it is an endless loop!!! I can't get out!!!!!

Not necessarily this week. But there will be (a) a review, and more importantly (b) an evaluation with a score to gauge his decision-making against some competencies/compliance requirements. If there's not much improvement in his next game then I think he might be holding a flag for a while..
