Not anymore but if there is a mention in the papers, I'll read it.
I suggest Gigs if you are not interested in it leave it alone.
Just happy to be here
The thread about the censored thread started by the moderators (called) "Deleted Thread" has been locked closed... So this thread is not likely to last long either Gigs.... the Coach is upset...

Muddy did after the Brumbies/force match
Muddy:
Most people don't give a flying fart about Firepower. They sponsored the Force & a few players, they went bust, we moved on. Sponsors come and go from every club, not just the Force.
Yes Firepower stuffed up royally and are claimed to be the biggest scam in however long but RugbyWA & the Force did not condone or take part in scamming people, they were just as much victims as any investor. We don't give a crap what happens to Tim Johnston now, we have moved on and got a new sponsor and our club & players are probably more the wiser as a result of it. Its unfortunate it was such an epic, public fallout but sh*t happens, thats life.
We (I'm speaking on my own behalf but I assume someone agrees) don't intend to dig up the history of the Brumbies and every financial downfall they've had and no more mention of Firepower would be greatly appreciated. If we cared enough, we'd go track down an article for ourselves or read it in the paper.

I said 30%. It's past history, I know it happened and it was a bad time for WA Rugby but it's done and dusted. I would probably read news reports about that sort of stuff, but would be very unlikely to line an authors pockets by buying a book. I can find that sort of material for myself but I don't mind if someone posts links here. However I don't think this is a place serial spamming to promote the book and the mods were right to correct that. I definitely object to somebody turning every other thread into an obsessive anti-Force/Firepower crusade as has happened here way too often.

I'm waiting for the book on Visy. The biggest cartel rip off in Australian business history that has been proven in the courts and the parties fined.
And are Tah sponsors.
I'm with TG on this from a business perspective it was amazing how long they got away with what they did, one of the articles I did read which struck a cord was written by an auditor on how to spot a company going bust and prehaps not quite legit he said that there a couple of obvious signs:
1: Water feature in the foyer
2: lots of different pictures of the owner with sports people in the foyer
3: Very flashy cars outside the office
4: No tables in the meeting rooms, couches
What the collapse of this company has to do with rugby is beyond me, how to spot a dud company now that is useful, but this is prehaps not quite the right place.
