Nathan Sharpe says the Western Force are not thinking about the Super 14 finals heading into Saturday night's match against the Waratahs in Sydney.
The Force's finals hopes all but ended with a one-point loss to the Hurricanes at Subiaco Oval last weekend.
The Perth club is eight points outside the top four with just five games remaining.
Sharpe says the team is focused only on beating the Waratahs.
"We've played a bit inconsistently this year, we played well last weekend for probably 70 minutes and let the game slip which was unfortunate, but it gives us an opportunity this weekend to rectify that and put in a good performance against the Waratahs," he said.
"We just want to win the game, there's nothing about pride or contracts or anything outside that concerns the guys.
"The guys love playing against other Australian teams, and it's a good opportunity for us to get some good form on the board."
