Bakkies still on the sideline

Bulls' splendid lock Bakkies Botha is still struggling with the ankle injury he picked up in the Springboks' last test of the year against Wales and was not able to run with the rest of the Super 14 squad at Loftus Versfeld on Thursday.
Botha says he is able to swim and do some cycling on a stationary bike but he is not comfortable when he has to run.
"If I push it I will be able to jog but I am seeing a specialist next week and will take it from there."
There is also a bit of a concern about Danie Rossouw's neck injury but the big loose forward trained with the group on Thursday and completed the bleep-test without any problems.
Akona Ndungane has a problem with his shin and might miss the first game or two but he says the injury is not too serious. His World Cup winning teammate Wayne Julies also picked up an injury but the extent of it is not known at this stage.
The Vodacom Bulls' manager Wynie Strydom says the team will play two warm-up games prior to the Super 14.
The Bulls will play against the Boland Cavaliers in Wellington on 26 January and against the Lions in Windhoek on 2 February.
"We would like to play with our B-team against the Lions' second stringers on Thursday 24 January as well as on the 31st but those fixtures haven't been confirmed."
