Former Junior All Black and Chiefs prop Ben Castle is the marquee international player with the Emirates Western Force for the 2009 season.
Castle won 42 Super Rugby caps with the Chiefs during his five seasons in Waikato after debuting against the Crusaders in 2004. He also represented the Junior All Blacks against Australia A at the Sydney Football Stadium in 2005.
A former captain of New Zealand provincial side Bay of Plenty, the experienced tighthead was most recently with Toulon in France.
At 185cm and 115kg, Castle is a powerful scrummager who can play on either side of the scrum.
