"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

I like that this has begun the ball rolling. I don't like the connection that the Western Forces status is affected by South African politics. SANZAAR are not a political party they are a sporting governance organization. The South African influence on SANZAAR could be mentioned but i dont think we attack South African politics. It is like saying the Australian government is behind a campaign to shut down The Auckland Blues or The Cheetahs, its not a connection we can make on emotional assumption.
To get this to a very strong footing we need the support of every WA club, RugbyWA, The Western Force, The Forces Sponsors and the minister for sport and recreation for WA. We also need the support of the ex pat population, the South Africans, Kiwis, British, European and Pacific Islander ex pats. But most importantly we need to push the notion of the importance of the Western Force to Australian Rugby through its development of talent, provision of opportunity, time zone advantage, etc and the disadvantages of shutting down the franchise, lost TV income, people supporting other sports, weakening the player base, the negativity brought about by the media coverage of such a decision, the damage done to the sports image etc.
Getting Mr Sinderberry on board to help connect the various groups to our cause will be very important.
How much is being driven by Papworth and his ilk who may mistakenly believe that without the Western Force there will be spare money for the shite shield?
Most of what I've read has been from mouth pieces for NSW such as Georgina Robinson.
I am and always have been willing to edit what we say.
I cant do this by myself - help me out please.............
The Western Force employees, players, supporters and the many volunteers putting the hard work into growing WA community rugby, to the benefit of Australian rugby, do not deserve to be the scapegoat of short sighted Administrators looking for a quick fix.
Is this better?

Slightly. No offence Si. But I think it should concentrate mainly on the positives of the Force being around rather than any finger pointing particularly the corruption reference. The only reference to past mistakes might be to draw a parrallel to the AFL method of expansion and maybe reference the leg-up given to the Rabble - and that maybe without actually naming them.
