Most guys on contract are never going to amount to much. Why don't we recruit upside players that really offer something new and advantageous.
Case in point...

he is just one example. Guys that offer a distinct skill set. We know what we are going to get from 22-25yo (backs) who are on contract. Frustrates me that we pay for guys who are what they are....and they aren't impact players
I've always wondered why we never got Brendan Williams to play for us awhile back. Unfortunately he's too old now.

Nick Cummins used to have a lot of moves too, back in his sevens days; would love to see him bring this back to his game.
There's also a young American guy called Josh Holland who's worth a look too.

Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
What a pleasure to watch. It's amazing that he hasn't been granted citizenship by half a dozen countries, and i must admit I think he'd make a damn good Aussie!
May the FORCE be with you!
He has played for usa 7s so he cant ever player for another international team.
Whilst he is so fast the reason he looks so good is because he is playing 7s there is so much space all he needs to do is get on get on the outside and put the foot down and in 15s you just dont have that space.
Speed isnt everything when it comes to being a top winger just look at rocket rod davies.

I thought sevens didn't count towards your international representative lockdown.
Rocket Davies had a lifetime of rugby under his belt. This kid has been playing rugby for barely a year. As a developmental player you have nothing to lose with players like this. USA and other smaller provinces are a potential gold mine. Dont understand why the rebels have more dispensation spots than we do.
so, when we recruit sevens and NRL guns, people moan, and when we recruit various Union players, people moan... glad Im not part of the association in charge!
I don't mind who we recruit as long as they're not from the other two SuperRugby countries; I really can't see the point of that.
