    Pink Jerseys - Auction

The team's pink jerseys from the game are now available to be bid on at:

    http://integrated.imgecommerce.com/force.htm

Looks like the reserve is $300.00 per jersey - 15 jerseys up in total at the moment.

Weren't Gits' and Drew's shoes meant to be up for auction as well? Maybe they can't bear to part with the pretty pink shoes

    ---------- Post added at 21:30 ---------- Previous post was at 21:27 ----------

Ooh I lie, I just looked at Sharpie's, Giteau's and Drew's and the starting bid for each jersey is $1500.00!!

Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White

do you have to sign up to see where the bidding is at? I just had a look and it looks like Spanner is the only jersey to have reached the reserve, the others either have a price of $0 under current bid or "Reserve not met"

then again a few of them had bids of $150

Many have a $1500 reserve, the rest have a $300 reserve. It runs for 2 weeks, so I'm sure we'll see some movement in that time in addition to lost of spam

They shoulodnt really have reserves on them if they have been donated for charity.

Its a shame the boys didnt win, then the jerseys may have been worth the reserves.

What do they do with them if they dont meet the reserves......

I'm sure they'll meet the reserves (hell, if I log in when they're due to close and they're still not met, I'll be in)- early days yet. $300 for the 'regular' ones seems reasonable enough to me (I'm not sure what the regular match jerseys are selling for, but I think it's a few hundred). Spanna's (being the try-scorer) should do well, and has the lower reserve to get the ball rolling.

$1500 is a bit rich IMHO, for a charity gig- While I reckon they'll reach those lofty heights anyway, it'd be nice to let the plebs play along for the early rounds.

Agreed they'd fetch alot more if we weren't all trying to forget the on-field action from last week

This is along similar lines, so bear with me.

In 2007, Port held auctions for GF jerseys after the shellacking. Most jerseys went for $300-500 except for Rodan's which was auctioned on the eve of the GF, it fetched $3500.
After the loss to the sharks, 300-400 is reasonable for the jerseys with the lower reserve.

I think you can buy match worn jerseys for a flat $500. Howver there will be at least 195 of these each season. There can only be 15 (maybe 22) of the pink ones...

$1500 is probably a bit rich, but the 'cause' may be enough to get those with the spare readies to buy up. Given they have reserves - $300 is pretty low for Spanners, Tai's etc - they should feel insulted!

lol I don't know if the "cause" really has much to with people buying up the jerseys, affordability will be the key! If I could afford it I would get all of the jerseys! but I would struggle for one! but it wouldn't matter to me really where the money was going (if I could afford it!)

JARGS!!! why i aughta!!! ***shakes fist***

Just checked online, I think there used to be information in the memorabilia section on their website, but it looks like it's been removed.

I'm also pretty sure I have seen it listed on physical memorabilia order form...

[ Edit: Yep - on the order form as Dirty Jersey, check here: http://www.rugbywa.com.au/verve/_res..._FORM_file.pdf ]
