Didn't watch the game but I understand Kyle Godwin was good in the number 10 shirt, but not so good with the boot. Great prospect though - hopefully Vern & Co don't let him slip through our fingers!!!

He was pretty good as the distributor and made a couple of things happen, but that was quite easy when he had outstanding 12 & 13 outside him and they had "go forward" ball pretty much all day.

His kicking was dire. He's a lefty with a huuuuuuuuuge hook that he didn't allow for. Good job they scored umpteen tries and didn't have to rely on the kicks at goal!

Yeah, kicks like Thurston, but doesn't seem to want to admit it.

i dont think we should base last night game on just his kicking. He did adjust and make the same shot he missed twice. Nothing a few kicking sessions cant fix.

They do rate him at HQ however from what I understand, he will need to show more of the same to be offered an ongoing position with the Force, trouble is, the more and better he plays the more everyone else gets to see him. Injuries have not helped him at all.

I must have watched the kick he did get then - I said we've found ourselves another kicker! But didn't see the whole game - from those stats above he was 50%

Cracking effort by the boys. Our piggies just smashed them continuously and the princesses seemed to step through holes at will.

Godwin looked pretty good overall. Agree about comments about his kicking though - needs improvement. This tournament will be good experience for him and all the others lads.

Another Force First Five that Cannot Kick Is it some sort of WA disease for 10's or is it part of the KPI's that you should not be able to Kick 50% accuracy just ain't good enough at any level for that matter

All this talk about his goal kicking if you had watched the game you would have see at least 3 of those kicks where from the side line on the wrong side for a left footer. Give the guy a chance he made the adjustment and then slotted the sane kick. I doubt many super level kickers would slotvthose shots every time.

The second one he missed from "that side" almost hit the corner flag. If he'd already missed one then he didn't do a very good job of adjusting.

Like I said before, it's a good job he had the opportunity to adjust, given the number of shots at goal he had.

My concern is that he might not have that many opportunities to adjust and that his shots at goal might become critical the further along in the tournament they go.

Surely there is a kicking coach with the touring team and he can work hard on that aspect for future games.

Bearing in mind Seuteni can also kick, so KG's not the only option.

Lika I also said before, he had a good game as the distributor (fly half - not 1st five!!!!!)

Why doesn't the Force just sign both Godwin and UJS on 2 year contracts. Problem solved.

The kicker for Perth Bayswater U15 can kick from any side of the field at that angel and distance with a 75% success rate and has been doing so since last year so no excuse there mate
