Lining up at outside centre, 21-year-old O’Donnell dotted in the 14th minute down the left.

O’Donnell helped Norths rally in the second half, combining with fellow Force back Max Burey to cross under the sticks in the 66th minute.

And O’Donnell settled the contest after the final siren, offering a support run to James Margan before being released to complete his treble.

Will Harris also was among the try scorers as Eastern Suburbs won 47-28 over Two Blues.

The Force back-rower came off the bench to score off the back of a scrum in the 43rd minute.

Harris doubled up 10 minutes later, swooping on a Two Blues’ turnover to cross from fly-half Jack Bowen’s pass.

Poolman raced clear after a turnover 10m from the halfway line to score in the 45th minute. Robertson’s two assists came in the first half.
