Don’t know result yet and not read previous posts so still hoping for a miracle in the second half!
Two of the first three try’s were forward passes and couldn’t be call ball backwards out of the hand only problem is it appears I’m the only person that saw it!
Second bottle of wine seems to have a hole in it! Have to open the next!
    Go the Force!

Wow! That was a reaming! Will take a few weeks to get rid of the taste of Vaseline! Some fantastic defence but attack was missing until Anstee came on. Our line breaking is virtually no existent and we don’t look as though we are going to break it. We need our centres and a few others taking the ball at an angle. We are predictable!
The straight up time and again isn’t working now rethink!

Godwin, Thrush, Kearney, Kahui, Heiburg, Longbottom(?).
    Brumbies missing only Sio. AFAIK.

Not an excuse. It just is. Not a great result. But expected TBH.

I really shouldn't have talked up Berry before the game. Must've been thinking about someone else! Classic one sided refereeing in the first half and then a few the other way once the game was already done. Scrum refereeing was a joke, as were the numerous missed forward passes for their tries.

Certainly didn't do ourselves any favours though. Attack still struggling and always seems to be space outside our defence.

Good time for the bye and hopefully we have a few reinforcements after the break.

    So.

In your opinion, you believe that with a different Referee. The Western Force would have won?

Most likely not. But hard to say when you're reffed off the park for a half.

For example, if any of those first 3 scrums resulted in a force penalty as they should have, we'd be down the other end perhaps putting pressure on their line.

Instead we were stuck on our line for 20 minutes because they were dubiously awarded the penalty.

Like I said, we certainly didn't do ourselves any favours, but the ref did us even fewer.

We were annihilated across the park in the 60 minutes I saw before switching off.

Nic Berry doesn't even come into the discussion.

Ok, I saw that the Brumbies were pushing up on one scrum and he pinged the force for pulling out, that's a 50 50 call with any ref and the Brumbies started playing games on engagement once his mind was made up but in reality, their scrum was smarter than ours.Does anybody agree with me that the tactic of not attacking the ball on the floor and spreading out in the line isn't working?

The ref didn’t help, the injuries didn’t help, but basically the Brumbies had a gsme plan & the Force didn’t-well not that I could tell. Macgrego played great, Kuridrani actually shifted his arse tho.

Yes they did. And it's usually the case. That doesn't automatically mean that criticism of a referee turns into, "If a different referee had the match we would have won". The standard of refereeing has been OK this year at times and woeful at others. Andrew Merhtens is a pretty knowledgeable pundit and neutral in SR Au Id imagine. He, for one, doesn't agree. He has been scathing of the overall standard so far.

I was impressed with kridrani last night, maybe he just got pissed off with being mediocre and turned into classic k-train (never used to like that nickname but it seemed appropriate after last night where his best runs started on the 40 for him to receive the ball at the 5)He needs to do that more and that will make him a dummy run threat as well. If he spends the whole night launching himself at the line it might help our attack
