Wallabies greats Mark Ella and David Campese will make cameo appearances as assistant coaches with the Australian team on the IRB Sevens World Series tour.
Australia's leading international try-scorer, Campese takes on an official coaching position with an Australian outfit for the first time with his appointment.
The former winger will be an assistant to head coach Bill Millard for the Hong Kong Sevens from March 28-30 and the International Rugby Sevens in Adelaide the following weekend.
Former Wallabies skipper and five-eighth Ella, who coached the Australian sevens team at the 1998 Commonwealth Games, will join the coaching team for the South Australian event.
The pair will also serve as ARU ambassadors at the Adelaide tournament, which is likely to attract a total audience of more than 30,000 fans on April 5-6 at Adelaide Oval.
Australian Rugby Union supremo John O'Neill on Friday welcomed the decisions by Durban-based Campese and Ella to be involved.
"It's wonderful to have these two icons of Australian Rugby back in the fold," said O'Neill.
"The skills they possessed set them apart during their illustrious on-field careers.
"Now they have the chance to impart some of that unique store of knowledge to the current generation."
