    Routes to the finals

Somebody told me yesterday that we can still get into the finals with a win margin of greater than 43 against the Blues. Correct me if I'm wrong but I can't see how that works.

The routes to finals I can see: (although there are other permutations)

    1. Bulls, Cheifs and Brumbies lose and we win. However we need to have a joint margin between the bulls loss and our win of 65 or greater.

    2. Bulls win, Cheifs and Brumbies lose and we win with a margin of 82 or more.

    3. We nuke the Blues, Bulls and Cheifs

    Go The Force

You're forgetting that we are playing the Blues and that any margin we win by is also the margin they lose by. So we don't have to beat them by 82 we have to be them by 42. What if we beat them by 41 and then both margins are the same. What is the second tie breaker?

Honestly, I think the tie breaker rules should be changed. 1st tie breaker should always be who won the game between the two tied teams. This would help us out big time as we beat the Bulls and if we are tied then it means we've also beaten the Blues.

Cheers for that, I couldn't see the 42. (doahhhh)

I think if it's a tie on PD then it goes to the number of bonus points....not positive on this but I remember somebody saying that last year.

Cheers Gerry, I knew there had been discussion on it but couldn't find the thread.

If the Chiefs beat the Saders we're screwed and the boys will maybe already know at kick-off.

If the Chiefs get a losing bonus point we'll have another percentage to beat, if we get a bonus point win.

    Is that right

We not only need a bonus point win, but we have to win by 42 or more
