    Tickets for Spring Tour

Bit of a random q, but wanted to ask the folks who have been there before how hard it is to get tickets for games in the UK on the spring tour.

Might have a chance to be over there for the Wales/England games and doing a bit of rugby math before I decide how hard to push for the trip!

Swee, tickets for Twickenham for a match against Australia are difficult to get hold of if you don't get a pre-booking offer (through a tour, the ARU, or an English rugby club). There'll be a few tickets on sale to the public, but they go quickly. I rarely managed to get anything other than end of ground seats in the third tier, and quite expensive at that. Too many people will want to see Australia and they'll take their allocation before the public do. If you want to go to Twickenham, see whether England are playing Argentina or a European side - that's much easier to get tickets for.

Cardiff is much easier to get tickets for, and they tend to be cheaper, too. Arguably more fun afterwards, as well!

"Who is eligible to purchase tickets?

Any Australian passport holder currently living overseas.

If you're an Australian resident, you are only able to purchase 2010 Qantas Wallabies Spring Tour tickets via Spring Tour Travel Packages offered by ARU's Official Licensed Travel Agent, We Love Rugby"

Does anyone know if it is a similar situation with the game in Hong Kong? As i will be over there when the last Beldisloe game is on and i wouldn't mind trying to get a ticket to the game, if there are any left.

As far as I can recall, the tickets for the matches in Wales and England have not gone on "advance sale" as yet. When they do I will be able to get some through my ARU membership so if you are interested let me know well in advance.

Tickets for Hong Kong went on sale some weeks ago to ARU members and the booking period has expired. If someone is really definitely going and wants a ticket I could make some enquiries. It has worked in the past. Let me know whether I should try.

For both cases, "no time wasters please". And I'll want the money up front as a reflection of your serious intent. This is solely so that my credibility with the ARU membership team is not tainted. They've done me some good turns and I wouldn't want to spoil that relationship.

Thanks for the info guys. Can't do anything concrete until courses/flights etc are approved and booked- just wanted an idea how much advance planning is required.
