Western Force loosehead prop Pek Cowan will miss the club’s remaining four matches of the season after scans confirmed a broken cheekbone suffered in the opening minutes of Saturday night’s match against the Brumbies in Perth.
Cowan successfully underwent surgery this morning.
While the injury will rule him out for the rest of the 2011 season the recovery time is expected to be approximately four weeks meaning he will not be adversely affected in his preparations for the 2012 campaign.
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Pek was really settling in nicely this season, sorry to see it end this way.
Pek, all the best and we look forward to another year of growth from you next year, thanks for the efforts this year.
