PERTH WA—Responding to speculation that Cameron Shepherds still injured knee may be the result of overusing the talented backline talisman, Western Force coach John Mitchell released a statement defending his practice of using the superstar for shopping runs, and Carpentry repairs. "Cam is a great talent, and the team doctors say he can still do a lot for this team, both on the field and around my house," Mitchell said of the multi-tasking back "Naturally, situations will dictate how he's used, but you can expect to see him playing an increased role around my household. Any coach in the Super 14 would love to have a player who has the right carpentry skills to build a pergola, paint it and then clean the BBQ, that certainly takes pressure off me." Shepherd, who spent last Tuesday's training session washing Mitchells' car at a Nedlands self-service car wash, said that his injured knee wouldn't affect his aggressive cleaning style.
