    Sheps Cleared of Serious Injury

Western Force and Wallabies back Cameron Shepherd has been cleared of any serious damage to his ankle.

The 59-match veteran strained his left ankle and was subsequently replaced in the 49th minute of Saturday’s 23-all draw with the Crusaders in Christchurch.

A relieved Shepherd was cleared of any major damage by an MRI scan today, but will need to prove his fitness ahead of Thursday’s team selection.

“There’s no major problem there but it will come down to how well his ankle settles down leading up to the weekend,” said team doctor Mark de Cruz.

“It’s a new strain and is not related to his surgery last winter. The MRI has shown that the site of the surgery is settling well and this was an unrelated strain,” he said.

The WA side’s other injured pair Ben Castle (neck) and Nick Cummins (hamstring), will also need to undergo fitness tests late in the week ahead of the clash with the Sharks at Subiaco Oval on Saturday.

We need to keep Shep a Force Man for his entire career. He is the real deal, around money hungry oppurtunists. We need him on the park.

its great news that he has "no serious injury" disturbing that its a new injury, because now he has 2 to be very careful of.

You are on the money TLH, Shep is the "whole" force man, but he wonb]'t stay on his own. So glad this injury is not too serious.

“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White

Yay for Cameron-a!! My little sister will be most proud Let's keep it the clear-of-serious-injury way now please.

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
