We find ourselves in the position (which we haven't been for a while) in having a worthy starter and back-up in pretty much all the backs positions:
9: White & Fines
10: Donaldson & Burey
11: Pietsch & Kuenzle
12: Stewart & Palu
13: Tomkinson & Pasitoa
14: Potter & Poolman
15: Grealy (backed up by Potter, Burey or Donaldson)
Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
Palu is a winger and better than Poolman. I think Pasitoa at 22 and Keunzle at 23 covers all bases though.
I hope that the Force are working hard to keep Max Burey ….. he is a very talented multi position player with speed and deception. I’m sure the Brumbies are watching closely….
I was disappointed Burey was left on the bench last week, even during extra time. Don't understand how his fresh legs wouldn't have been an improvement on someone in the backline
Jake Gordon has just re-signed with RA and the Tahs until the end of 2027. Where does this leave young gun Teddy Wilson? Gordon has just been signed for a lot of money so they are not going to use him as a bench player. Wilson may now be more agreeable to looking elsewhere for the starting spot.
I'm a huge fan of Nick White but someone like Wilson is the future. White and IFL are both signed to the end of this year. Not sure when Wilson becomes free but you would imagine the Force will make a strong play for him.

You would imagine if they were smart.
They have been shown to be smart.
The only difficulty might be that Wilson will command a pretty good wodge of cash. I'm not sure the recruiters at the Force are doing a whole lot of chasing expensive shiny things, It looks a lot closer to moneyball tactics.

For the game against the Blues, if Beale is fit I'd have him on the bench. At about 60mins bring Kuenzle off (still easing him back in), move Grealy to Wing, and put Beale at 15.
I'd be happy with a moneyball approach to overpaying. If he wants to play in Super then he needs to come to terms sitting behind all the others for now and see where he can push his case.
I remember Nick when signing talked about BIL tour, not sure if he is keen to push for RWC27 as well now.
Yeah there are a lot of moving parts with the idea of signing Wilson.
Whitey is CRUCIAL to our performance, not necessarily because he's the best 9, but because he's an organiser and a standards upholder. If he doesn't hang around we're potentially worse off. Finesey is the next step, but hasn't really challenged Whitey for more time and might be one we could live without (assuming we have White) both Robertson and Phillipson look worth retaining, so there isn't a whole bunch of room for a development 9.
Wilson sits in that no man's land between developing player and regular minutes. That is a highly populated zone at the Force.
