Ref standing inside the 22, should have been standing in the middle of the gap (which should have been the mark) Given that there's such a fine-line excessively technical interpretation of the laws for that one you'd think he would have caught the Reds out for the not straight throws when they were trying to keep it away from Swainy and Jezza.

I also see the referee pointing to the 22 line marked on the ground as where the lineout is marked.....the line is counted as inside.

I know that I am being very pedantic, but as a result the reds got a lineout 10-odd meters out.

Simon Cron questioned that in the post match interview. The referee should have made a loud call to Donaldson as to whether it was carried back or not which is the norm… I can’t recall that being the case .
