As part of the ongoing program to enhance our community engagement in WA, I'm delighted to announce that last week Bankwest signed a two year sponsorship deal with RugbyWA and the Emirates Western Force rugby union team.
The sponsorship makes Bankwest 'Grass Roots Partner of RugbyWA and Emirates Western Force' and the ‘Exclusive Financial Services Partner’. What's particularly exciting about this deal is Bankwest will be supporting the sport at junior levels as well as getting behind the senior Western Force team.
Bankwest successfully negotiated a raft of great benefits to Bankwest within the deal, including:
• Naming rights for junior rugby in WA
• Naming rights of the Year 12 scholarship program and the Senior Rugby Academy
• Branding on the coaches collars
• Pitch side signage including lighting displays
• And access to the players
And Bankwest is also the Happy sponsors of 'Westy the Swan' - the Western Force's official Mascot!
These types of sponsorships help to maintain and enhance the image and reputation of the Bankwest brand in our home state. Indeed, Bankwest has already generated positive media coverage as a result of this new sponsorship.
"Remember lads, rugby is a team game; all 14 of you make sure you pass the ball to ..........."
I thought Bankwest were going to be one of the rebels major sponsors?
I hope they make some ads with Westy!
They're a national company who currently sponsor the VRU...
absolutely, but that won;t necessarily stop them sponsoring other provinces also - esp if grass roots/club rugby is their chosen area as is the case with VRU and RugbyWA
I would be happy to share a sponsor with another province.....as long as cash is injected to grassroots rugby it doesn't bother me where it comes from.
C'mon the![]()
