Henjak happy with move to Toulon
1st August 2008, 11:59 WST
Sonny Bill Williams is yet to make a splash on the French Riviera, but his Toulonnais teammate-in-waiting Matt Henjak has dived straight into his new life there.
Henjak has been soaking up the summer sunshine on the Cote d'Azur and working hard at pre-season training sessions with the renowned Top 14 rugby club after leaving Australia last month following his sacking from Super 14 franchise Western Force.
The disgraced former Wallaby scrum-half is trying to make a fresh start and leave behind the controversy over breaking former team-mate Haig Sare's jaw during a brawl in February.
Looking fit, tanned and relaxed, the 26-year-old appears to...

Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
You gotta wonder how long Henjak will be referred to as the guy who got sacked by the Western Force and broke Haig Sares jaw.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
you'd think they'd be nice and help him forget that
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
Yeah... at least Yak gets "former wallaby/bloke that broke Sare's jaw".... Haig's just the "bloke that got hit"
Please, the French are arrogant enough as it is, they probably know nothing about the whole incident. Hell, this season some French fans were going 'Brock James is the best fly half, he should be the Wallaby fly half for sure', after his performances with Clermont. Despite the fact he was hardly outstanding for the Force. They don't care about what happens down here too much, besides, the way the French play a 'Henjaking' will be everyday occurences.
As long as he's selective about the jaws he breaks he'll be a hero!

if he hits anyone up there they will run the white flag up quick enough anyway, he will be ruler of France by the end of his contract

good luck yak!
BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
It has never been made public. The guys involved would be the ones to ask![]()

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Isn't yaks ex girlfriend the one that was photographed in the toilet with SBW? Could be some punches thrown over in Toulon if they get on the frothys together.
I just thought the Haig Saire punch might be from something similar, team mates don't get on that's just life but punches only usually get thrown over girls and grass cutting EG Wayne Carey.
