Great to catch up with new Force coach Simon Cron. I think he'll fit in real well. Plus the mailbag and the penultimate round of Hero of the Week, won by Rory Anthony for nominating Roodogs hooker Scotty Cornell - who played his 150th premier grade game against Perth Bayswater. That's 150 consecutive, none missed at all. What a worthy winner.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Great interview.
Seems like he is going to bring a lot of additional rugby IQ to the Force.
The way he talks you can just sense his enthusiasim for the game, his players and all things rugby.
Looking forward to having him on board seems like the right for the Force.
Simon Cron: “People talk about winning and losing all the time and they are critical, but there’s a process to get into and it’s the ability to stay present, do your job and execute skills under pressure.”
He’s gonna go great I reckon. Very excited
Good times ahead gang!!!!
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
Agree he sounds great and knows his stuff. Next season seems so far off!
Also didn't seem to want to be evasive, when asked about signings I liked that he mentioned that some of the players he would want are still under contract and won't be available, so it'll be a slow build.
Pleased to hear that he wants to engage with local clubs and didn't want to make too early a call about what that will look like. Seemed to understand that what happens in Sydney or New Zealand or Japan won't necessarily work here.
