The line out missed you Sharpie

Just watched the Wallabies win and the only area that was lacking was the Sharpie Lineout calls... Vickerman not up to speed yes a mungo but not the major in the lineout Bring Back Hertyks big bald bro to the wallabies (Sharpie)

Great Game by all even the bench and Dingo used his bench well The old slow players are good driving that gopher (The Samo mobile) all players done us proud

    Go the Wallabies

Really? The best Wallaby performance in years, and you are going to nit pick.

FTR - Vickerman was awesome tonight. Justified his selection.

Vicks was awesome in the tackle and ruck. But the lineouts were crap.

Sharpie is a overall a better player I think we only won one lineout cleanly

I think in the big games,Sharpe to start & vickerman to come on later, just dont see any value for sharpe as a bench player

so starting or nothing for sharpie

The scrum wasnt as fantastic as what the media hyped it up to be after the SA test match.
Plenty of room for improvement which is a good thing!

    Simmons is a kid

He dead set isn't up to it

and if Thursday nights "rugby club" is anything to go by, he's a massive dribbler

    Sharpe and Horwill to start

    Vickers off the bench

The lineout implosion suggests it isn't clever to bring a bloke out of retirement when he hasn't had any involvement with the playing group and start calling Oxford lineouts.

    Dead set

I saw Pocock go to lift him when Pocock thought he would be going backwards and Vickers was coming forwards

    It looked like 4rd grade

    Shambles

Haven't seen that level of intensity from our guys in the first 40 for a long time. Well done boys. Deans looked pretty up tight pre game, huh?

Apart from longevity (80 minutes) and the line out Vicks offered more than sharpie last night IMHO. The way he was hitting rucks making a pest of himself at the breakdown and tackling was great to see. Sharpie is a great player and deserved a spot on the team but for me that spot is on the bench behind those two players. The line out issues are training related and can be practiced out with familiarity.

Big call SGR... I still think Sharpe is a better option than vickerman.. He certainly gets the pill in his hands more and makes yards.. And hes a line out general..despite saying its a skill that can be learnt I think youll find its harder than it looks...

Vickerman was pivotal in the first half dominance at the breakdown and tackle... No one in the wallabies hits the rucks as hard as he does.

Vicks used to run the line out for the tahs and the wallabies before he left. He isn't a novice in that regard. When players get in one another's way and miss time jumps to me that is training related

Yeah, have to agree there Grope. Sharpie took over running the lineout from (and therefore would have learnt a great deal from) Vickerman. Getting the right call and stuffing up the timing with your groundcrew are two different things.
With Horwill an 80 minute leader, it is a Sharpe v Simmons, not a Sharpe v Vickerman debate for the 22 now for mine.

Sharpie will find it hard to get back into the run on I feel Vick's broght some mogrel to the pack.....Ben mac will aslo find it hard to return esp when Palu regains his status, well done WALLABIES but that is one game. String 3-4 together like that then that will get the critics talking postive again. Semi RWC eNGLAND V AUST. gone to be interesting game
