The Western Force has continued to grow its family of commercial partners with leading global education provider, Navitas, joining the club as a back-of-jersey sponsor for 2014.
The Western Australia-based educational, vocational and internship institution facilitates learning opportunities both in Australia and overseas, through a network of a number of the foremost tertiary and educational institutions across the globe.
Navitas initially began discussions with the Western Force as a potential front-of-jersey sponsor – as part of the club’s individual player sponsorship initiative – before also progressing to now be emblazoned on the back of each jersey across the entire squad.
Navitas will appear on the Western Force jersey – below each player number – with the brand to feature for the first time when the club kicks off its Asteron Life Super Rugby campaign against the NSW Waratahs in Sydney this Sunday (23 February)
Navitas will also feature on the starting hooker’s jersey (2).
RugbyWA CEO Mark Sinderberry said he was pleased to partner with another strong Western Australian institution.
“Our partnership with Navitas reaffirms our desire to continue to align ourselves with Western Australian businesses,” he said.
“We have a strong focus on being an active member of the Western Australian community, and we’re delighted to share this objective with an organisation like Navitas.
“We appreciate this show of support from Navitas – as we do for all our commercial partners – who will not only feature on the front of one of our jerseys, but the back of all of them as well, and we are determined to represent them well in 2014.”
Navitas CEO, Rod Jones, said his organisation was excited to be partnering with the Western Force.
“The concept of sponsoring just a single jersey was quite appealing for a company like Navitas which has never really sponsored sports teams before,” he said. “It gave us an opportunity as a leading WA-based company to help out a leading WA sports team with international profile without committing to multi-year contracts.”
“[However] we realised the benefits of providing a bit more support would be worthwhile and were pleased to commit to a higher level package for 2014. We are hopeful that with a greater level of local support the Western Force can represent Western Australia with even greater distinction in season 2014.”
