The RA do make a contribution to Wallaby player payments, however, even a young Wallaby will be getting paid a decent salary , let's be honest. So there are two issues: salary cap and who is paying, since their financial sponsorship, membership and walkins is very light on. Why aren't eyebrows being raised by QLD, NSW and ACT?
Because the lot of them are too gutless/toothless to even raise a murmer let alone their eyebrows. It seems from everything I read on forums shows a complete lassitude in making any action whatsoever. Yeah the murmers of discontent are growing, but it defeats me how there’s such an acceptance to let this state of affairs keep rolling on. It takes heads in the sand to a whole new level! What would it take to get a similar review like the CA one, or would that be yet another toothless tiger.

IIRC during the Senate inquiry it was stated that there have been many independent reviews into the goings on within Rat's Arse. The consultants that ran them were so independent that most of them had connections to serving and former board members, ex-Wallabies, friends of SURFC or all of the above. What more could you want?? Honestly there's no pleasing some of you people.

Gary Gary and Roger Davis are next. Hore is an outsider.

I’d just LUV another inquiry/review if only to get under RA skin & harass the shit out of ‘em. It would be like scratching a nasty boil on your worst enemy!

Are the other states and the ACT staying quiet because they have either received or been promised something of equal value? Or are they so wrapped up in themselves to notice what’s happening in Victoria? It beggars belief, it really does.

I cannot wait for the announcement about World Series Rugby so we can leave this utter garbage behind us.

As the Brumbies get the least I doubt they have received anything substantial from the RA. As much as the Shute Shield clubs hate it we badly need a second XV comp like the Welsh and Irish do during the start of the season. If the Shute Shield clubs don't comply no NSW team enters as the other states have the players registered to their own clubs which goes against John O'Neill's grand plan to have the Shute Shield as the third tier.

    A key question is
"Does Roger Davis (or Andrew Hore) have the same power as their equivalent in Cricket NSW, John Knox?
That is, could one of them 'phone Cameron Clyne and tell him that his (Clyne's) position was untenable and that it was time for him (Clyne) to fall on his sword"?

They had enough power to stall Twiggy.

Yes Lou, the other unions need to be creating an uproar, if they don't the Rebels and RA will continue to get away with what they are doing!

They didn't stall Twiggy - just killed off the Western Sydney option as one of the teams for the kick-off year.

Western Sydney wasn't a WSR initiative. It was the efforts of financial interests in NSW.

They stalled it as they knew that Twiggy will give them a lesson in how to get things down. Now they are relying on Friends of Sydney Uni Football Club style funding to raise money for Hore's grand plan to be achieved by March.

Interesting that Buildcorp have just built new offices for the Rebels. Buildcorp Director is Josephine Sukkar, President of Australian Women,s Rugby Union and the person who withdrew funding of NRC and put it into SuperW, again all roads at the Rebels lead straight back to RA HQ.

PwC also on board with Reels for three years to define culture and strategy. I guess they wouldn't want them anywhere near the books or they may actually be able to decipher them
