With JOC gone, David Smith leaving and a few names being bandied around, who do you think should be brought in for the top spot at the Force?
Why not BOD?
I still think we need another prop. Not confident of Ma'afu. But if BO'D signed for a year, though he'll be 33, he'd get the turnstiles clicking. Don't really see it happening.

I think Jane is a fantastic option for 14 or 15 we should be going all out to get him in blue next year.
BOD is a long long shot, anyone from the NH is really...
What was clearly evident from Fridays game is that we are definitely missing someone who can break the line. It would be great to have a world class finisher on the wing or fullback, but I think more importantly a 12 or 13 who can break the line and create chances for the wings. BOD @ 33 still a good player, but it's not the direction the Force want to go in. Nonu would be a good option if available.
start to look at ruling out Nonu, he looks like he might be heading to Ospreys next season.
Corey Jane would be an excellent option.
If not him then a experienced flyhalf / 12 or an experienced tight head.
And why have we not looked to Argentina for players? They have some excellent props, creative backs and are looking to play in the 3N (4N) very soon.
While most go to Europe, we could offer them at least as much as the European clubs would have I think, for a player not yet proven.
Agree, I'd look Argentina.
I wonder whether, with the ARU salary cap and their inclusion in the Tri-Nations, there'd be any incentives to sign Argie players? Maybe an extra foreign player spot, or the Argentine Rugby Union paying some of the wages as we develop their players.
Why dont we go after "Brock James" ?
Didn't we try and chase "conrad smith" a few years ago.

what about Shane Williams - retiring from Internationals after the world cup, Wilko - the same
Our marquee player should NOT be over 30. The marquee spot is designed for a current top ranking player. As good as BOD and Shane Williams are, we are better to target a player currently in, or moving into, his prime. Corey Jane is a good prospect.
Nonu, Hilgendorf, Brock James are not.
fills in time until next season guessing on signings, I would like to see one of those Yarpies number 10's come across That young Lions number 10 has potential.
Yes I endorse sponsoring a heap of young south africans, and or pacific islanders to move to perth.
Corey Jane would be a good pick up though id be surprised if it eventuated. I can recall numerous Jane highlight reels where he embarrassed JOC as well.
Most importantly I would like to see more Wess Ostrayians from the club rugby ranks sitting on the bench and given time on the pitch.Hopefully some keepers will be found that could eventually work their way into the 15.
Nonu: Definitely not. He is great as a crashball 12 but offers little else. Plus he has discipline issues both on and off the pitch.
Props: Definitely not. I have faith in Longbottom at 3 if need be. I think Cowan could do the job too. Pretty sure at least one of his 4 Wallabies tests saw him on the tighthead side of the scrum. I wouldn't rule out Ma'afu yet either. We are generally a fitter team than the Brumbies and hopefully a good pre-season will see him shed a bit of that unnecessary baggage.
Inside Backs: Maybe if someone good came along, but generally I'd say leave it to Stannard, Godwin and Ripia (thought Ripia was pretty good against the Rebels).
We definitely need an outside back. I would probably avoid an outside centre. I like the idea of Cory Jane- a creative winger/fullback. But we would still need to recruit well to make sure we aren't in the same position next year.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
