Cross on the bench!
I think Mitchell is playing with fire taking Staniforth (find of the season) out of the centres... it almost seems idiotic, especially playing Cross with very little experience in rugby union (yes I know he played it before league).
Cross should be played on the wing before he is put in the middle.
i like how you think spine!
i think the 2nd team you put there will be my ideal team!!!
You need Stanners and Cross in the team. Foward pack may be kicked around the park. Backline is very strong.

Folks, I more than most love to see people putting up team lists to compare, but please, stick with TWF convention and traditional team listing being 1-15 or 1-22.
The reverse, and various variations of, was designed by try hard outside backs and morons in the media who want to focus on the try hard backs.
Leave it to them and the mungo's, the format is 1-15 & 1-22
And welcome along spine, hope you grow to love the site as much as the rest of us.

Feel free to tell us a bit about yourself (playing days etc) in the Intro's forum if you wish.

"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
Cannon is a better alternative to McIsaac. McIsaac really didnt show anything from his spell with the Wallabies. Infact Fava's form has been quite misserable too so to speak.. Hopefully he has a better year.
The loose forwards is our weakest area, The front row is fine with Scott and Hardy, both are very strong and pushed the sharks scrum around last year with almost ease. Locks should be good as well... Backline very dangerous if it clicks, I think it will again take a good half of the season before they fire.. It seems we are constantly taking players out of position in a bid to experiment. I think the successes from last year should remain and only the new players slot in respectively. John Mitchell is opting for a completly revamped centre, hopefully it works straight off, if it does could be a brilliant year for the Force, especially with all the kiwis missing... However the depth over there is pretty phenominal so I cant see all the teams struggling.
I don`t know who you were watching but tai has played more consistently at a top level than any other hooker going around and his line out throwing is second to none...And our forward pack played just fine in it`s first year, and will only get better this year as a result...
And i agree with burgs, the number 1 is always number 1, not reverse...play league if you want the reverse...
As for a starting 15, i like to analyse the views of others to see what they think...

He was a failure at Test level, hence why he was dropped.I don`t know who you were watching but tai has played more consistently at a top level than any other hooker going around and his line out throwing is second to none...
Ofcourse it will, thats experience for youAnd our forward pack played just fine in it`s first year, and will only get better this year as a result...
It has been mentioned, I will repost it the other way round for you both ok. If I wanted to play a Mungoe sport like league I would, But i dont, so dont get all tight because the numbers are the wrong way round. And i agree with burgs, the number 1 is always number 1, not reverse...play league if you want the reverse...

Thanks spine, i feel much happier now
But still believe tai is the best choice for wallabies hooker role, and i`m not going to change my opinion any time soon, but each to thier own...He was supported by the ever useless trestle on tour(Baxter) and i believe his lineout throwing was ok, his positioning was also ok, maybe needs a bit of work at the breakdown and ruck, but at least he is getting there, maybe not getting as involved as he should...Still my favourite hooker anyway...

Interesting team, I take it you are not a fan of Drew Mitchell/ or Hilgendorf. Mitchell is seriously prone to dropping the ball after being tackled, he also is suspect on defence. However I would have him for his attacking ability, he has alot of pace and can break through tackles quite effectively for his size. If he works on the 2 points above he will be a lethal attacking weapon. I personally thought Hilgendorf played extremly well last year and deserves his shot at 10 again, he seemed to link with the backs very well... and not a bad kicking game either. Personally I would not have the ball hog Pelesasa anywhere near my team, I think the backs should able to be unleashed, Pelesasa refuses to pass to his outside backs...Originally Posted by pruc
