Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
Disappointing to hear that Rugby Australia had booked the lads home on a Jetstar flight late last night (Sunday).
(I'm sure that there was probably a cheaper flight with China Southern via Guangzhou - but maybe it was already full?)
Unfortunately, the flight was cancelled so they only returned today (Monday) - after losing most of the day.
So much for recovery and preparation for an important game against the Fiji Drua for what was always going to be tough with only a 6-day turnaround. Pleased to hear that there were no serious injuries.
Thanks RA! Appreciate you giving our guys this experience to help them get ready for WSR nest year.
Focus lads..........no times for distractions this week.
PS. I do like the title of this thread.
Eh. How late is late? Avalon and Jetstar are the closest airport.
I believe they were booked on Jetstar ex Tullamarine.
But ended up flying on

The weather forecast for Sat could favour Force with their strong pack in scrums, lineouts and rolling mauls. Rain and wind will not help Fiji in their throwing the ball around style.
SummaryMin 12Max 20Showers. Possible storm.Possible rainfall: 8 to 15 mmChance of any rain: 95%
Perth area
Cloudy. Very high (95%) chance of showers. The chance of a thunderstorm. Winds north to northwesterly 15 to 20 km/h tending west to northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h during the morning.
Even in snow/ hail and a potential Tsunami warning you could throw a zero on the end of that figure (1470) and the sea of blue would still top it.
And watch out the Geelong stadium with a 34,000 seat capacity with the astonishing 147 people in attendance it equated to being at 0.43% capacity.
Absolutely. They used to play at AAMI - but that costs a lot, also at club grounds, Harlequin was good - but they are resurfacing and even at Frankston in a combined 7s day. But now, all three home games on the road. No, I didn't go. Can't be arsed driving to Geelong and certainly not going to B'rat.
The truth may set you free, but only evidence convicts
There's plenty of old NSL grounds in Melbourne they could use. It's a strange one.
