Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I'd agree, so long as the design allowed for easy and inexpensive expansion to 45,000 - it'll be required sooner or later, but quite possible earlier than expected once folk got to watch games at a rectangular ground.
I'm sure ANY re development of MES would allow for further expansion, the point being, why keep harping on about 35,000+ when we have only done that once at Subi.
Let's just get a rectangualr ground for the members that we can FILL week in week out and keep mour corporates on board. Lose them and we lose the lot.

Agreed, but at the same time we've only fallen below 25,000 three times. My observation is that you don't need to get tickets to the AFL to develop an interest, you just need a telly. The same is only true for rugby if they already have Foxtel for some other reason.
Seeing as we are stuck at Subi for the immediate future, they should make any spare tickets for matches as readily available as possible - drop prices for the lesser seating, give junior players free seats, cheap tickets for under 17 etc...basically fill the ground and spread the message. They should then aggressively promote the ARC, making a particular point about the viewing. Get the crowds up for that and then who knows, maybe a dedicated ground might be on the cards. We've no chance while there are only 6-7 games that matter.
