    I would like to see

    Schools Policy

    Ban all AFL in schools.

    Infrastructure Policy

All stadiums to be nationalised with only rectangular stadiums to be built with lots of bars and taverns surrounding them.

    Boat Policy

Boat races are compulsory after every Rugby match

The Pope and Julia Gillard are on the same stage at the MCG in
    front of a huge crowd.

The Pope leans towards Ms Gillard and said, "Do you know that with one
little wave of my hand I can make every person in this crowd go wild
with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display, but will go deep
into their hearts and they'll forever speak of this day and rejoice!"

Gillard replied, "I seriously doubt that. With one little wave of your
    hand? Show me!"

So the Pope backhanded the bitch.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

I see we're moving from politics to religion. Next stop ... sex (just so long as it doesn't involve red budgie smugglers)

Fibre to the home IS the solution for a great many of australia's woes. It will provide jobs (who do you think is going to dig all those damn trenches? ) provide Broadband access to the country rather than just metro area's...
yes they do have a blueprint.. ive seen the documents that control the rollout, how the service is to be utilised, the timelines and have also been involved at a high level in the development of the technology that is being used.
Wireless? are you kidding me.. sounds like youve been swallowing all that crap that Tony Smith has been shovelling out... Ask anyone with a wireless connection that uses it for more than simply checking facebook and theyll tell you its crap compared to standard ADSL (and thats CRAP compared to Fibre) - oh and what do you think all those towers use to get your "wireless" signal connected to the rest of the internet.. oh thats right FIBRE!
By the time they've finished FIBRE the technology will be obsolete which makes it $43billion dollar f---up

Labor has no idea how they are going to afford it or how it's gioing to pay for itself. they couldn't organise insulation in your ceiling let alone a national broadband program

I don't disagree with the benefits

I wouldn't trust those bozos to build it. They couldn't organise a blow job in a brothel

It's akin to supplying every house in Australia a black and white TV a year before the launch of colour TV.

When you're a politician, it's important to only think in 3 year blocks. What's a mere $43billion anyway? We can rape the mining industry right?

    obvious troll there but anyway...
"those bozo's" arent building it NBNCo are building it.. theyre just funding it.. believe me the way that the NBNCo are going at the moment they are making Telstra seem like a bunch of gorilla's at a sewing party!

Fibre IS the future.. the beauty of light is that it doesnt attenuate much, unlike radio or copper cable. the only impediment to the technology at the moment is the lack of back end infrastructure (which is a direct result of people that make decisions not looking to the future)
The system is scalable (meaning it will be around for a Looong time yet) and can be developed much like copper was when it was first laid OVER 100 YEARS AGO!
if you had to tell Alex Bell that his technology would one day be used to deliver the internet, TV, Phone, secure banking, home security etc etc.. he would of probably told you to stop smoking the giggly twig!
the problem is that info over Copper has reached its absolute threshold and its time to move on...

as i said before Wifi internet is unreliable, slow and still being developed to get around the miriad of issues that prevent it from being the "solution".. and the list of those issues is LOoong!..
so using your analogy..tell me, what is your "colour TV"??
