Thankyou for your kind words. Watching Rugby has kept me going over the last 15 months. I just had a shoulder op this year so had to miss the entire playing season. Would have loved to get out some frustration by running into people on a Saturday afternoon, oh well there's always next year.
i want laura to come on so we get our pics!!!
BOKKE“Let me put it this way, A Springbok team contains Afrikaners, Englishmen, coloureds and blacks. It has parochial foes in Bulls, Sharks, Stormers, Cheetahs and Lions. It is a recipe for war! Yet in all the years of John Smit’s captaincy, there has never been one unhappy customer, not one voice of rebellion against his leadership. He is the glue that holds the Springboks together. The man is a legend!”- Jake White
Aww thanks for leaving the story to me guys. Much appreciated.
Well well well... what a day! Lots of people turned out to get signings despite the weather which was really great to see. The boys were really lovely and humble and put up with us pestering them to get them to sign all our stuff so major kudos to them.
And the most exciting celebrity sighting of them all was....
Grumbles Growden himself!
Swee spotted him behind my shoulder and we decided that if we only did one great thing with our lives, that getting a photo with Greg holding a TWF card would be it!
So everyone giggled and I got handed a TWF card and with my sweetest smile in place I walked up to grumbles and asked him politely if we could have a photo with him. He asked who had put him up to it and I said (lied) that we were all big fans who tried to get as many celebrities to pose holding our card as possible.
He obliged and we all got into position for the photo. Only then did he turn the card around to see what it was.
'Oh no' he said 'you guys aren't western force supporters are you?'
To which I replied with a laugh and a 'oh I know you're a huge fan Greg. You have to be the biggest supporter of western australian rugby. oh and I read Rugby union for Dummies... nice work!'
He just laughed and said that writing that book almost killed him.
He was a pretty good sport about it all and I even offered to let him keep the card so he could check it out but he declined. Probably just as well given all the smack we talk about him.
So there you have it. That was the day a bunch of force supporters met Grumbles.
And he's lost a bit of weight too! Less chins than normal.
I'll pop the photo up in a tick when I resize it. It's a winner.
I made Happy sad...
ahahahahhaa

You gotta shmooze to get the desired results.
Anyone know how to make a JPEG image into a GIF or something smaller? It's exceeding the TWF limit.![]()

I use Picture Manager (from the Office suite). Under 'Edit Pictures' choose 'Compress' and away you go!
