I watched a rematch of the South African Springboks playing the Argentinaian Pumas game this morning with tea and scones. During the second half a man named Percy Montgomery ran on for the South Africans in jumper number 22. What a spritley young man he was and lets hope he can play in many more tests for his country, he looks like he has a lot of potential the old chap, now how many tests had he played???

Oh thats right he was on 99.

    Sat out tests my arse.

If thats the case i withdraw my accusations of softness

He was named at 15 but I'm pretty sure Conrad Jantjes got the nod, don't know if it was but I would say it was probably an injury thing because I don't think he was even on the bench.

The biggest change comes at full back where Percy Montgomery has been dropped and replaced by Conrad Jantjes.

The Boks missed the steadying influence of Percy Montgomery, with Conrad Jantjes having an uncertain game at fullback

percy is an overindulged pretty boy. south african rugby should be ashamed of the way they allowed him to dictate when he would play.
representing one's country is an honour. you play when you are named to play. not when you want to. you dont choose which games you want to sit out.
he doesnt deserve to wear the springbok jersey again.
That's a bit rich mate, how many players can you name who have been so exemplary at something that it's been named after them, I can only think of three. Garry Owen, Mario "the Falcon" Fenech and Percy.

but everything you said means nothing - there's nothing to substantiate Percy being benched for the purpose of playing his 100th at home....
