Yep - I have the same issue. Suspect it's either a technical issue with the broadcast or the units themself (filters not working properly)?
Dont leave home without them.
as if elfs dont have ears!
Clearly not sports ones Gunny...

Well that was an injudicious post on my behalf, I should have said I never leave home to go to the rugby without my sports ears, sheesh!
Where do you keep them? In a sports bag?
I keep mine next to my drinkin' ears!
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
I am thinking of buying sports ears seeing that the football season is about to start, and rugby takes a back seat on the two AM radio stations (6PR and 720), and if we are lucky, we get the second half on the radio. (as with last nights game against the Sharks). However ... $80 is a lot of money for about 8 uses per year, so was wondering if anyone had bought the Budget unit for +/- $40. Is it worth it?
I've got the full version.....brilliant...
Me too
And they seem to have fixed the issue with having Foxsports commentary on all 3 options.
Val - I'm assuming you're talking about using them AT the game.
We had the first opportunity to try out sport ears at last night's game.
Through a series of unfortunate incidents when ordering through the ARU's website I ended up with both a premium set (which I ordered) and a budget set (which they had sent instead). The premium set was brilliant, the budget set, which came with dud batteries - lucky we took spares - was terrible - couldn't hear the commentary because of incredibly noisy interference.
So my advice would be go the premium. We now happen to have two sets of headphones and with a $2 adapter from one of those electronic stores, we are going to try plugging both sets in for a listen at next week's game.
Hearing what the ref says does give you a clearer idea of what's going on, even if you don't agree with it.
Val, I've had mine now for a few seasons, so the cost per game is obviously a lot lower than $10 per game.
I've really missed the Sportsears when I've left them at home. I wouldn't be without them.
Success is not final, failure is not fatal:
it is the courage to continue that counts.
