Nah just a comment directed at the majority of their supporters these days.

I loved what the Chaser boys did last year in regards to Bulldogs supporters

there was a diagram in the paper yesterday which showed what the reconfig would look like.
it also gave us an idea of just how much grass was going to need to be moved for said reconfiguration.
    we've got no chance...

as jargs said a few pages back. why piss 35m up the wall when going all out for this will satisfy the requirements of all sporting codes?

Yeah that was discussed in another thread.......or was it by me emailing a few people?

    not the point............

this "swing" technology that was discussed in the article, it didn't give alot of information about it, eg damage to the turf, cost of reconfiguration??

That's what gets stuck in my throat every time Jargs.....NOBODY has given any detail about the mechanism, we're stuck with the text of the Langoulant Report (from memory) "the stands will move on trenches and rails located underneath the grass playing surface"

Now I concede the points that Wayne Smith mentioned in the article in the west are accurate, but then I've always been in favour of the multi-purpose stadium, just not using it week by week for rectangular sports! Remember, the committee's own documentation suggests up to 15 changes of configuration.......with (according to their proposed events schedule) 8 reconfigurations being on the eve of an AFL game!

I just don't see how this is a situation where somebody isn't going to lose! my fear is tha the "priority tenant" is not likely to be the loser!

Ahh, the old one size fits all theory.

I meant on the field, mate. You should have stayed at Lang Park another week. Much more joy there tonight.

Yeah, they're pretty funny. The stunt at Howard's George Bush Loveathon took the all time cake tho. Spoiled the old bastard's retirement present.

It's been stated that the "bowl" section of the multi-purpose stadium will hold 22,000 people so that would cover all 16,000 (i think) members.

Surely the whole bowl section wouldn't be the "gold" membership category

no chance, It'll look a lot like Subi's seating plan if you ask me.......Gold between the trylines, Sliver around the ends with Nickel and Iron in the stratosphere behind the posts.

My questions would be about the diamond members, who currently occupy sheltered, elevated seats between the 22s, will they be in the weather (bowl) or will they be issued with refracting telescopes to see the action from 1.3 light years away?

That'll be interesting for Greg Harris to answer!
