It would come down to the representations made by Nasser to QC.
If this is a straight case of QC changing his mind then Nasser has done all he can as a manager and QC would have no recourse to seek damages from him.
But in the Days of our Lives conspiracy theory world, if Nasser made representations (i.e. verbally) to QC that led QC to believe he could get out of the contract without penalty (or only a minimum penalty) then QC would be able to seek damages for misrepresentation.
Why is it taking this long, with so much reported hyperbole, to sort out a simple contract dispute, either QC has signed or he hasn't? If he has there is a penalty to pay. The fact that very little has come out of the QC camp suggests that there is a signed contract and they are scrambling to get out of the mess that they have created.
Whether or not this is the case I do not know but where there is smoke there is fire and it gives me an excuse to make a tinfoil hat.![]()
Any room for me under that tinfoil hat as well Daz?!

Cheika hits back at Boudjellal

Wallabies coach Michael Cheika has taken exception to the trash-talking of Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal as Quade Cooper's contract saga turns nasty.
With Cooper poised to renege on a two-year deal he signed with the French giants in April to instead remain in Australian rugby, Boudjellal is threatening legal action against the playmaker and the ARU.
Boudjellal took aim at Cooper and "a moron of the Australian federation" in an explosive interview with a French newspaper which claimed the eccentric owner had delivered the Wallabies star an ultimatum to undergo a medical with his club or else.
"I don't think it's necessary to have that type of language," Cheika said on the Wallabies' arrival home from Argentina on Tuesday night.
"(I'm told) he said they're going to be as broke as Greece.
"Well, I don't think that's an issue to be joking about, to be honest. There's a lot of people struggling over there.
"So I don't think it's very funny, saying any of that type of stuff.
"He's entitled to say what he likes about what he wants to do. That's fine, but I don't think those analogies are really necessary."
Cheika, though, said he understood perfectly well why Boudjellal was digging his heels in to try to nab Cooper.
"Because he's a really good player," Cheika said.
"So he's doing his bit and I've got nothing against him fighting for his player.
"That's his right, just like we want to fight for our players."

Awesome. Mourad isn't going to be able to let that go!
Everyone should get the popcorn ready!
Cooper signed a contract - nuff said
Did he?
Has the contract been produced?
Does the contract have an exit clause? (Since most contracts these days do)
I think there's a drastic shortage of facts supporting everybody's part in this and the general public will not have a clue what the real story is.
Fact, the ARU are on the bones of their arse, do you think they'd still be playing ball with Cooper after these threats if they thought they were a chance of being cited?
They either think Boudjellal is full of shit (an easy assumption) or they ar confident that Quade's the one who is going to have to fight the legal battle (another very likely occurrence)
If there is no contract in Australia, how do the ARU even KNOW the state of his contract in France? is there some sort of disclosure system in the IRB which ensures that they have the information, because there's no international agreement which necessarily allows anybody in Australia access to the finre details of employment contracts in France.......information privacy lawyers would have a field day if there were.
