Doesn't really ruffle my feathers, but here's something I've been wondering about recently - maybe |jono| can shed some light:
a) Why do P platers disregard speed limits?
b) Do P platers not get taught how to merge? (by the way, yes, I realise no-one in Perth knows how to merge, I am assuming it's from when we start driving)
c) Is every drive with P plates a race?
d) Do P platers feel they are somehow immune from prosecution? and finally
e) What is a P plater's "plan B" i.e what will they do once they lose their MDL due to an accumulation of points?
Because they are better drivers than everyone else and are in such total control of their vehicle (and every other variable on the road) that there is no issue with them doing so!
Of course P platers get taught how to merge, but they are better drivers than everyone else and .... yada yada yada that we mortal drivers should be the ones to merge with them.
When you are a better driver than everyone else, it may seem that it's a race to lesser humans....this is not actually the case, they're just making us look so slow by being better drivers ... I think you get it!
Not at all, they feel that the police force are unfairly picking on them for being ..... BETTER DRIVERS ......
You don't need a plan 'B' when ....... you guessed it ........
you are a better driver than everyone else and are in such total control of your vehicle (and every other variable on the road)
C'mon the
OK - so it doesn't really ruffle Ecky's featehrs, but I think we can safely say it well and truly presses GIGS' buttons...!

People NOT laughing at my picture of the SMH research team (see above, reply #50) - that REALLY gets my goat!!!
Oh, and on the sports theme, rubbish commentaries and analysis, with pointless metaphors, incorrect tenses and players 'giving' more effort than it is possible - or even necessary - for them to give:
'At the end of the day he's played well and he's scored a goal and he's given 110%... (blah blah etc etc)'
Oh dear - looks like I have my grammar hat on today. Larry started it over in the chat report, so I blame him! I'll get off my high horse (or my stack of dictionaries) now!

It ruffles my feathers when people generalise and put all P platers in the same box!
I made Happy sad...
thank you jess...
i'd like to point out that its not just p platers that speed. dont know how to merge and are generally pricks on the road.
but not all of us are like that.
i'm not going to say i dont speed every now and again, but who doesnt?
but not every drive is a race for me, i dont want to have to be buried or bury another mate after the 2 we bured last year.
its the attitude that one takes towards driving. and mine is one of wanting to get to my destination alive and in one piece.
no. the perth ones were who i was talking about. You just shot down the entire research department of the Sydney Morning Herald sport section there Jono!

Dont take on anything until you are fully prepaired.
Lack of drive will only see your demise
